Dear Old Boys,

We need your help please.

For over 130 years, the OBU has continued to operate in the interests of all Old Boys regardless of membership status. We are committed to fostering a connection between all Old Boys through communication, events, reunion support and alike and in turn enabling us all to give back to the School that we love.

The OBU Executive Council, a group of passionate Old Boy volunteers, has been working hard over the last few years on delivering initiatives to keep the High spirit alive. We recently successfully launched our Mentoring Program, Sponsorship Program and have held career and networking events to support Old Boys. We are proud to have an active communication and social media presence to make sure we keep our Old Boys engaged and informed about what is happening at School and in the Old Boy community. 

We have even bigger plans for 2025.

We’re looking for passionate Old Boys to help bring some of our ideas to life. Volunteers with specific skills who can offer their time and expertise. Whether you can spare a few hours a month or just help with one project, every bit counts!

We are currently seeking

• Graphic Designers and Visual Storytellers – Help create visuals and collateral to bring our Old Boy stories to life  
• Writers & Content Creators – Share your love for storytelling through articles and social media content 
• Access to venues - Provide access to a venue or office space to host our networking events
• Guest speakers - Want to share your experience with an audience of Old Boys? We’re looking to host events and would love to have Old Boys come and speak about interesting topics
• Help with reunions - There are over 20 reunions held each year and they are core in keeping our school connection alive. The OBU helps the reunion organisers in the background, sometimes a little and sometimes a lot. We have all the processes, tools and structure in place. We’re looking for someone execution-focused to help share the load as required
• Providing a general helping hand - Your skillset isn’t listed above but you still want to help? We still want to hear from you. We’re always looking for help with fundraising, organising career sessions or just someone to bounce ideas off of…a sounding board if you like

Volunteering is a fantastic way to reconnect with fellow Old Boys, share your skills, and make an impact on our School and Old Boy community.  Your work will also be showcased to our diverse Old Boy member base.
