As part of the ongoing efforts to digitise the school’s historical archive, a very important document is now available online - ‘An Outline History of the Sydney High School 1883 - 1933’.
This extraordinary record covers the school’s inception at Castlereagh St, the move to Ultimo, and finally the move to the current location at Moore Park / Surry Hills.
You can read more now at the link below as well as purchase a copy of an updated version of the school’s history, including first-hand accounts and original documents and images to provide a fascinating account of the School’s earliest pupils and masters and their activities at School and beyond.
Our ongoing thanks are given to Joseph Waugh PSM (‘87), David Isaacs (‘03), Mark Gainford & the school archivist Merinda Kavich for their ongoing work in preserving these archives for the future.
