Many Old Boys may not be aware that there are opportunities for enrolment at High after Year 7. In fact many High Old Boys have joined the school, and contributed greatly, upon entry after Year 7 including past School Captains and our Victoria Cross Winner, Sir Roden Cutler VC AK KCMG KCVO CBE.

The entry for Year 8, Year 9 & Year 11 in 2024 opens on Tuesday 13th June and closes Friday 21st July of this year. More information is available at the link below and we will post again on 13th June when the application form is available.

Please note the following important information:

- For Year 9, up to 30 places and vacancies, if any, may be offered, subject to applicants satisfying the selection criteria

- the selection committee considers performance in academic competitions, sporting interests and accomplishments, co-curricular interests and abilities, reasons for wishing to attend the school, proximity and ease of access to the school, compassionate circumstances, whether siblings are already enrolled in the school and/or whether there is a family connection to the school (grandparent, parent, uncle etc).

The SHSOBU actively encourages all High Old Boys to consider Sydney High School for the education of their sons and other family members. The early years of the school were built on a tradition of continued family links and the importance of maintaining these cannot be understated.
